Established in 1965, Head Start of York County is a child development program which serves children from age 3 to 5. Based in York, Pa., the center focuses on school readiness of young children in low-income families. It offers a range of services for mental health/disability, education, health/nutrition and family/community partnership, to name a few. Head Start of York County conducts events such as, conference day, family fun night, turn off TV/turn on life challenge and week of the young child, among others.
