Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department-Company 1, established in 1891, is the oldest organization within the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department. With a mission to protect the community and its individuals from fire hazards, the company has been serving Greensburg and the surrounding areas for over 100 years. Originally located on North Main Street, the company later moved to its present home on McLaughlin Drive in 1968. Equipped with state-of-the-art apparatus, including a Seagrave pumper and a Freightliner M2 rescue vehicle, Company 1 is dedicated to providing efficient and effective fire protection services.
