Founded in 2007, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania is one of the leading development organizations for girls with 3.4 million girl and adult members worldwide. Based in Harrisburg, Pa., it serves more than 27,000 girl members, ages five to seventeen in 2,637 troops. The organization offers programs in the categories of development, education, emotional stableness as well as social needs of girls. Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania organizes various events and activities, including Girl Scout days, interest groups and patch programs. It serves 30 counties in central and northeastern Pennsylvania.
