Founded in 1974, the Franklin Learning Center is a public high school that has been recognised as a national Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. It is a magnet school for students in grades 9 through 12. It is organized into two minischools, including health science and humanities, and technology and art. The Franklin Learning Center maintains various school organizations, including the Future Problem Solvers of America, Student Government Association, Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society and yearbook. In addition, the school has Red Cross, Asian, science fair, poetry and drama clubs. Located in Philadelphia, the Franklin Learning Center is a part of the School District of Philadelphia, which is one of the largest school districts in the United States.
