Established in 1972, the Erie Center on Health & Aging is an independent, nonprofit organization that offers primary medical care and community-based services for senior citizens. The center provides a range of preventive health services, such as blood pressure monitoring, sugar and cholesterol testing, cancer screening and smoking cessation counseling. It conducts several recreational activities, such as outdoor trips, parties, exercise sessions, games, tournaments and ceramic classes. The Erie Center on Health & Aging is a member of the American Society on Aging, Pennsylvania Public Health Association, Medical Group Management Association and Erie County Diabetes Association. The center additionally provides dietary and medication counseling and osteoporosis bone density testing services. The center is located in located in Erie, Pa.
