Ellwood City Forge is a family-owned forging, heat treating and machine operation that was founded in 1910. Known worldwide as an industry leader in the open-die forging industry, Ellwood City Forge manufactures concentric and eccentric contoured forgings and single cross-section products from carbon, alloy, stainless and tool steels in weights up to 80,000 lbs., lengths up to 50 feet and diameters to 90 inches. It specializes in a variety of custom forgings including shafting, blocks, large multi-throw crankshafts and eccentrics, smooth forged billet, plastic mold steel, rough turn bar and hollow and disc forgings. Its forgings are fabricated into a wide variety of products for the capital equipment, mining and construction, steel mill, oil and gas, aerospace, shipbuilding, automotive and pulp and paper markets. Ellwood City Forge is half-owner of North American Forgemasters and operates two production plants, located in Ellwood City and New Castle, Pa.
