Dr. Birdsong is a highly skilled hand surgeon who also treats carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff tears, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, tendonitis of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder; arthritis of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder; and trauma of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Dr. Birdsong is vice chairman of patient safety and quality at AHN. He has special clinical interests in endoscopic (a.k.a., arthroscopic) carpal and cubital tunnel releases; shoulder joint replacement and reverse total shoulder replacement, and all elbow, hand, and shoulder problems. He has received numerous honors throughout his education and career, including: Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and honors for his internal medicine clerkship, general surgery clerkship, neurology clerkship, and in clinical medicine. Dr. Birdsong is also the winner of the Anido Pathology Award, the Lange Book Award, and the Charles Arnett Award. He is listed in the Who’s Who in American Colleges, 1985. He speaks English.
