Daybreak Church is a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination and our following Statement of Faith is the same as all other C&MA churches.About God... There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. About Jesus Christ... Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross in our place. His death for us is a substitutionary sacrifice that makes us right with God when we believe in His shed blood. He rose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of God and is preparing a place in Heaven for all who believe in Him. He will come again for all who believe in Him and will establish His Kingdom of righteousness and peace. Philippians 2: 6-11, Luke 1: 36-38, I Peter 3: 18, Hebrews 2: 9 & 8: 1, Romans 5: 9, Acts 2: 23-24, Matthew 26: 64 About the Holy Spirit...The Holy Spirit is a divine person, sent to live in, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. About the Bible... The Old and New Testaments, without error (inerrant) as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. The scriptures are the divine and only rule that give us guidance for our Christian faith and practice. About Human Beings Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God: he fell through disobedience, which caused both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, which separates them from the life of God. They can only be saved through faith in the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. Those who do not turn to God or refuse to believe in Christ will spend eternity in conscious torment in Hell. The believer will spend eternity with God in Heaven.About Salvation...Salvation is available through Jesus Christ for all men ; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God.About Christian Maturity...It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly (being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God). This process empowers the believer to live a holy life and effectively serve God. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is both a crisis and a progressive experience in the life of the believer after they have committed their life to Christ.About Healing...Healing of the physical body is made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are a privilege for the Church today. About the Church...The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the good news (gospel) to all nations. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.About Eternity...There will be a bodily resurrection of those who believe in Christ and those who do not. The believer's resurrection will be to eternal life with God. The unbeliever's resurrection will be to judgment before God because they did not believe in Christ.
