Dr. Darren Schneider is the Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy at Penn Medicine. A national leader in vascular surgery, Dr. Schneider came to Penn Medicine from New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medicine, where he served as Chief of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Co-Executive Director of the Vascular Service. Dr. Schneider completed his general surgical training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he also completed fellowships in both Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery at UCSF. Dr. Schneider has extensive experience in both open vascular surgical and minimally invasive endovascular procedures for treatment of most vascular conditions including: •Treatment of complex aortic and iliac aneurysms •Cerebrovascular disease •Limb-threatening lower extremity arterial occlusive disease (PAD) In addition, Dr. Schneider has made numerous contributions to endovascular clinical research. He is currently the principal investigator and sponsor of an ongoing, single-center, IDE study of endovascular repair of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms using branched and fenestrated stent grafts.
