The Consumer Satisfaction Team, also known as CST, is a nonprofit organization that conducts surveys to gauge customer satisfaction towards the services rendered by the funders and providers of behavioral health services. Founded in 1990, the organization ensures that the Behavioral Health System responds to issues raised by people recovering from substance abuse and mental illness, as well as their families. It conducts regular site visits, meetings and interviews with the Office of Mental Health, the Coordinating Office for Drug and Alcohol Abuse Programs and Community Behavioral Health. The Consumer Satisfaction Team also collects customer data through telephone meetings with customers in mental health outpatient, inpatient and residential facilities. It generates reports that highlight the consumer s complaints and grievances and presents the same to the funding authorities. The organization additionally provides training and education to behavioral health professionals, government entities, and family and consumer groups. The Consumer Satisfaction Team is located in Philadelphia.
