History
Christ Church Anglican on the Main Line is the result of a vision cast back in 2012. A number of Anglicans in the Philadelphia area were interested in seeing a new congregation started that would be committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and planting more churches. With the guidance of the Missionary Bishop of the Convocation of Anglicans in North America, a task force led by Archdeacon Alan Crippen was started for just such a purpose. After preliminary meetings of prayer and worship at the John Jay Institute in Bala Cynwood, Pennsylvania, Christ Church Anglican started worshipping publically at Wayne United Methodist Church in Wayne, Pennsylvania on All Saints' Day, 2012. A year later, the Rev. Adam Rick was called to be the first lead pastor of the congregation. We are named after Christ Church in Philadelphia, the symbolic epicenter of North American Anglicanism, and the Main Line, the historic communities stretching west from Philadelphia's center city.
