History
The Chop Shop originally started out as Dr. Sous Custom Catering in 2005. We slowly grew our catering business through nothing more than word of mouth. Our goal was to put a casual fine dining spin on catered events by prearing products from scratch. We created customized menus around clients' favorite flavor profiles, themes, or anything else we could creatively twist into their menus. Our business grew and in 2009 we started looking for a building to expand into. That brings us to this year, 2011. We found an old building on Main St. in Downtown Butler that was formally a restaurant. It had the walk ins and floor space needed to expand the catering business. We also realized that there would be plenty of room for dining too. Downtown Butler was lacking in places for local professionals to go and eat breakfast and lunch so we figured we would open Monday thru Friday for that clientel and continue to cater events on the weekend.
