More than 8,500 people are served by South Mountain YMCA Summer Camp and Day Camp. Located in Wernersville, Pa., South Mountain has operated as an independent YMCA since 1982. Camp Conrad Weiser Outdoor Center provides one of the primary backdrops for all of the camp s activities. Program opportunities offered at Camp Conrad Weiser include the areas of outdoor education and environmental programs, curriculum training, corporate conferencing, kindred group retreats, parent-child programs and senior citizen outreach programs. Along with Camp Conrad Weiser, South Mountain YMCA Summer Camp also consists of Bynden Wood Day Camp. Many summer campers come to this location from the Mid-Atlantic and other regions of the United States as well as other international communities.
