Founded by Benigna von Zinzendorf, Moravian College is one of the oldest educational institutions in the United States. Located in Bethlehem, Pa., Moravian has been operational for more than 100 years. Approved by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the college is a member of the Council of Independent Colleges and Universities, American Council on Education and National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. It offers majors in more than 35 academic areas, including accounting, American studies, anthropology and sociology, fine arts, biology, chemistry, business administration, classical studies, criminal justice, economics, childhood education, and mechanical and civil engineering. Moravian also offers majors in English and creative writing, environmental studies, foreign languages and literature, world history, mathematics, medical technology, vocational and instrumental music, and nursing.
