My 4 year old loves the playground and I like that I can do laps around the play area as she's playing to get those steps in while keeping an eye on her.

Lenape Park

With expansive views of nearby fields and hills, this park seems much larger than its actual size. It has an impressive variety of recreational facilities, including sand volleyball courts that look like they were moved from the beach. Whether you play tennis, baseball, basketball, soccer, or prefer volleyball on a hard-surface court, you can find plenty of room to play here. There's also a nice playground area for kiddies. First-time visitors in winter months may ponder the significance of tall silver poles sticking out of the ground. These are frames for heavy net batting cages.

Water adds reflective beauty to any park and that certainly is true of tiny Furnace Dam Park along South 10th Street, just east of Broad Street. In fact, the pond takes up most of the park. Children love fishing in the pond and feeding the ducks.
