Established in 1968, the Berks Career and Technology Center offers technical education and career preparation programs to more than 3,000 high school students. The center serves over 15 public school districts and nonpublic schools in the Berks County, Pa. The Berks Career and Technology Center offers more than 35 programs in manufacturing, information technology, construction, technical, health care, transportation, communication and personal services. Founded in 1968, it is an ISO 9001:2000-certified center that operates an adult day school and offers training in technical fields, such as building construction, cabinetmaking, carpentry, electrical occupation, masonry, painting, plumbing, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning repairs. In addition, the Berks Career and Technology Center offers evening courses in electromechanical technology, welding, applied mathematics, computers, and computerized numerical-control machining. It is located in Oley, Pa.
