The Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP) is a Pittsburgh-based organization that aims to empower the African American community by building political power and influence. Since its establishment in 1986, B-PEP has been actively involved in various initiatives, including the Greater Pittsburgh Coalition Against Violence (CAV) and the Corporate Equity Inclusion Roundtable (CEIR), to address the challenges faced by the African American community in the region.
Under the leadership of Chairman and CEO Tim Stevens, B-PEP consists of agency, organization, and religious leaders, as well as dedicated individuals who are committed to creating positive change. The organization strives to move from complaint to possibility, from planning to implementation and mobilization, in order to make a lasting impact on the communities of Pittsburgh and beyond.
