William Allen High School offers a range of educational programs to students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes classes in art, business studies, English, and family and consumer science. The school additionally offers classes in technology education, world languages, mathematics and science. William Allen High School also has departments for social studies and health and physical education. Its athletics department offers a variety of sports activities, such as cross country, hockey, lacrosse, football, golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball, swimming, wrestling and basketball. The school has a range of clubs and organizations that includes the National Honor Society, and dance, orchestra, band, choir and weightlifting clubs. Its library stocks various periodicals, encyclopedias, newspapers and more than 29,500 books, including over 3,000 reference books and nearly 4,000 fiction books. William Allen High School is located in Allentown, Pa., and is a part of the Allentown School District.
