History
The Animal Welfare Council was established in the fall of 2006 by a group of individuals who share the same concern and passion for the animals in the community. We as a group have held round table discussions with local veterinarians, law enforcement, animal control, dog law and local animal welfare groups to discuss what the voids of animal care are in our area. From these discussions we have formed and strive to fulfill the needs of local animals and their owners. The Animal Welfare Council is not a group who is in competition of surrounding animal welfare organizations, on the contrary we help support or fill the cavity of needs that they might not be able to. Each local group defines what their organization can handle and we are there as another resource.
