Western Mennonite School, established in 1945, offers classes from grades six through 12 and is located 45-acre wooded campus in Salem, Ore. It is sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Mennonite Church. With more than 200 students enrolled, it offers a curriculum that emphasizes on biblical teachings. It provides a college preparation program, including math for college credit, advanced science, computer and foreign language and all students take classes in Bible, music and fine arts. It is fully accredited and meets the academic requirements of the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and the Oregon Department of Education criteria for private schools. Students, faculty and staff engage in corporate worship experiences and participate in weekly small group meetings. Its sports programs include soccer, cross country, volleyball, basketball and indoor soccer, and students also have opportunity to participate in dramas, intramural sports, musicals, National Honor Society and social activities.
