WET Labs develops and manufactures underwater instrumentation to detect vital biological, chemical and geological parameters and processes in the earth's oceans, lakes and streams. Its leading-edge underwater sensors include fluorometers, transmissometers, scattering sensors and spectrophotometers that provide accurate data about the inherent optical properties of the aquatic environment. The data measure beam attenuation, absorption, turbidity, volume scattering function and fluorescence scattering. WET Labs instruments can be used in a variety of applications, including primary productivity studies, coastal and estuarine research and monitoring, ocean observing systems, autonomous underwater vehicles, radiative transfer studies, water quality monitoring, climate change, harmful algal blooms, thin layers, visibility, calibration-validation activities, ocean carbon and nutrient studies.
