History

The Oregon State Fair is the longest continually running entertainment event in Oregon. Like most state fairs, the event was originally agriculture based with an emphasis on contests and awards.

Specialties

The Oregon State Fair is an 11-day, end of summer event in held in Salem each year finishing on Labor Day. Started in 1858, the fair celebrates all things Oregon with an emphasis on agriculture, entertainment, livestock, food and craft competitions.

$5 parking and $10-12 admission to the Fair - pricing is still reasonable and you should definitely check the web site for package deals and buy your digital tickets in advance to avoid standing...
