Central City Concern assists homeless and poor individuals and is located in Portland, Ore. Its services include health and recovery, housing and residential and employment. Its Portland Alternative Health Center offers outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program for homeless and low-income clients. It offers services to special populations, including people with substance abuse, mental health and primary health care issues, people suffering from HIV and AIDS, people involved with the criminal justice system, displaced workers, people lacking education and job skills. Additionally, it offers services to people with disabilities, criminal records, single adults, pregnant women, single parent families and low income individuals. It receives funds from and contracts with federal, state, county and city governments. In addition to public funding, the agency receives income from rents, service fees and business enterprises.
