The Newberg-Dundee Police Department is a law enforcement agency that promotes public safety, identifies and solves criminal cases and safeguards citizens rights. It consists of more than 25 sworn officers, over 10 communications officers, a support services manager, administrative assistant and animal control officer. The department s animal control unit is responsible for enforcing city animal licensing provisions, as well as investigating all animal incidents. It maintains a records division that manages and processes department reports, requests, firearm permits, registrations and documents. The department also has a special investigations unit that is responsible for the follow-up of major crimes and the investigation of criminal activities, including narcotics and sex crimes.
