History
National Extinguisher Service, previously known as National Fire Fighter, is a fire suppression company that was started in Eugene in 1951. It was then purchased by the Laing family in 1992, where they co-located it with their welding and gas supply company, Industrial Source. From 1945 to 2019, Industrial Source expanded throughout Oregon, adding locations in Coos Bay, Salem, Portland, Medford, Grants Pass, Roseburg, and Tualatin. Once National Extinguisher Service was purchased, it was slowly integrated throughout all existing Industrial Source locations. In 2019, National Extinguisher and Industrial Source moved from it's original location in Eugene to a new state-of-the-art 40,000 square foot building in Springfield. National Extinguisher is a 3rd generation, locally owned and operated company allowing us to be directly involved with the issues of our customers throughout Oregon.
