About Firm Scott Chambers and Brian Lawrence founded Headwater Investment Consulting in 2004. Prior to forming the company, both Scott and Brian operated as independent investment advisors. In 1988, Scott earned a Ph.D. from UC Davis. He originally began managing client money in 1998. Scott is also a professor of finance at Linfield College, where he pursues an active research program in issues confronting endowments and foundations. Previously, Scott served as Linfield College's Vice-President for Finance and Administration, overseeing the College's financial systems, business operations, facilities, risk management, human resources, and investment management functions. He spent 1997-98 in England at the Nottingham Business School as a Visiting Fellow of Finance. Scott has taught investments over the satellite educational broadcasting network, Ed-Net, and frequently speaks at national conferences on investments and asset management. At Headwater Investments, Scott primarily oversees portfolio strategy, client service, and client development. Brian earned his B.S. in finance and economics from Linfield College in 1999. A member of the CFA Society of Portland, Brian earned his charter in 2002. Since 1999, Brian has worked as a Registered Investment Advisor, assisting individuals and institutions. As an analyst and portfolio manager, he directly managed asset allocated portfolios and initiated research into individual securities and pooled investments. Most recently, Brian owned and operated Lawrence Investment Management, an independent investment management company. At Headwater Investments, Brian assumes most of the day-to-day responsibility: monitoring portfolios, trading, responding to client inquires, and research. In 2007, Amy earned her BA in finance and religious studies from Linfield College. She then joined Holiday Retirement, an independent senior living management company, located in Salem, Oregon. As a financial analyst, she reviewed monthly and quarterly financials, created annual budgets, monitored monthly expenses and revenue and provided support to the executive team. Currently, Amy is in the MBA program at Willamette University and is looking forward to graduation in 2011. Amy joined Headwater Investments as an associate portfolio manager in February 2010.
