History
The concept for our business began with three Northern European words which have no immediate translation into the English Language: 'Gezellig' (Dutch), 'Fika' (Swedish), and 'Hygge' (Danish) are words that express a sense of pausing over baked goods in a comfortable, pleasant, environment with loved ones. It is our mission to take those abstract ideas and make them concrete at our bake shop. Hazella is truly a family endeavor. Your hosts, Michael, Rebecca, and their daughter, Katherine, derived a business model to celebrate family and community where they can invite guests to pause and savor in a space that feels like home.
