Educational & Community Supports (ECS) is a research unit within the University of Oregon's College of Education, dedicated to expanding the use of evidence-based practices and systems that improve outcomes for children, youth, and adults, particularly those with disabilities. With a focus on positive behavior interventions and support, family-centered interventions, research methods, and early intervention, ECS collaborates with educators, students, families, and community members at the national, state, and local levels to solve complex educational problems.
Committed to making expertise accessible and tangible, ECS provides training, coaching, and technical assistance to the educational community, while also developing online applications that empower data-driven decision-making. With equity at the core of their work, ECS strives to create inclusive learning environments where individuals can freely and enthusiastically be themselves. Their mission is to establish and expand the use of evidence-based behavior support practices and systems that improve outcomes for all.
