Eastern Oregon Net was founded in 1996 to provide Internet access to the residents of northeast Oregon. The network is designed and maintained by residents in northeast Oregon. It conducts more than 1,000 network tests to assure Internet availability for personal and business access throughout the year. It also provides automatic backup batteries, automatic diesel generators and multiple diverse Internet connections. The network s operations staff offers a wide variety of services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It supports the local community by providing Internet service and also supports and funds charitable and community-based activities. Eastern Oregon Net is located in La Grande, Ore.
