The Columbia Gorge Inn is located in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The motel is just 45 miles east of Portland Oregon. For the outdoor enthusiast the area offers hiking climbing biking whitewater rafting windsurfing kayaking and salmon steelhead and sturgeon fishing. The wintertime offers great local downhill skiing snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

Why 5 Stars? Safety: I was traveling with my sister and two females alone made me nervous. Upon checkin the manager was friendly, helpful, discussed safety and the sheriff comes by etc....

This was just a nightmare. Dirty and dingy. Curtains too long so they just scissored the bottom and didn't hem. Top of curtains not attached to hooks. Broken drawer pulls. Back of bathroom door...

I've stayed here about a dozen times back when Jeff and his wife ran the show. Apparently it's under new management, but I'm sure they're doing just as well.... The owner and her family are good...
