History
Coin Corner was started as a coin shop in 1962 by Gerald & Elleanora Wickwire in West Linn just across the bridge from it's current location. It moved around to a few locations in downtown Oregon City until the mid-60's and has been in the same spot since then. It was originally divided in half with the coin/hobby store on one side and a pool hall/1/24 scale slot car track on the other side. In the early 70's the slot car track/pool hall was closed and the hobby shop expanded. Since 2001 the focus of the store has been coins, vintage toys, collectibles and used hobby equipment. Coin Corner is still owned by the Wickwire family and is run by Gerald and Elleanora's son and grandchildren.
