History
In 1951, parents joined together to create a cooperative school that met the needs of their children. They started a kindergarten class that was taught by a classroom teacher and parent volunteers. The success of the school grew and two preschool classes were added later. Today, CHKP is a non-profit, volunteer run organization with the same values it was started with.
