HistorySilver Dragon owner Chris Somerville is a self defense/personal security expert who focuses on combining traditional self defense with personalized instruction to give students complete physical, mental and emotional fitness. He teaches his students to be confident and prepared to handle any self defense situations that they may encounter. Sensei Chris began studying martial arts as a child and is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Chinese kempo karate. He is constantly updating his martial arts & fitness training to help you be able to reach your personal goals. In addition to being a skilled martial artist Chris is ACE certified with over 15 years of fitness coaching experience. He excels at coaching and motivating children and adults through his enthusiasm for the martial art and fitness and by personally investing time to find out what motivates each student. Sensei Chris sees the dojo as a family-oriented location where everyone is accepted and celebrated for their differences.SpecialtiesStudents at Silver Dragon Martial Arts & Fitness learn more than just punches, kicks and self defense when they come in.
