History
William and Mary Connelly came to Guthrie bought the lots on which the Railroad House now stands on. The Connelly's came with the purpose of building a Boarding House to accommodate the nearby railroad workers. Official records indicate the Railroad House was completed by 1896 and had boarders. Census records show there were boarders here through 1930; however, there were railroad personnel who boarded here in the late 1960's.The story is that it has always been called the Railroad House. We are still serving the working person but in their leisure.
