The Club is situated on 158 acres with 125 acres devoted to the golf course. The vision of Quail Creek Golf and Country Club was that of the developer, John W. Johnson. The plans for Quail Creek Golf and Country Club began in 1960 and the Floyd Farley golf course design and construction and the William Howard clubhouse design and construction followed in 1961-1962 respectively. Read more about membership Quail Creek Golf and Country Club selected Floyd Farley to design and construct the 18-hole golf course in 1961, while Ernie Vossler became the Club's first Golf Professional. Quail Creek has played host to many prestigious events in the past that including the Oklahoma City Open 1962 to 1968 (won by Arnold Palmer in 1964 and Tony Lema in 1966 ), the Bob Hope Silver Pages Classic and the Southwestern Bell Golf Classic in the late eighties. A total course redesign and renovation in 1999 now provides the membership a beautiful, distinctive and challenging golf environment.
