HistoryOpened in 1972 through grassroots efforts by our founding executive director Richard Virtue, The Virtue Center is the oldest outpatient substance abuse treatment center in the state of Oklahoma and the first substance abuse agency in the state to receive a treatment contract from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS). We are certified with distinction by ODMHSAS to provide outpatient treatment services for substance abuse, gambling and co-occurring disorders. As a United Way of Norman partner, we collaborate with many of the social service agencies in the area as well as city, county and governmental agencies.SpecialtiesThe Virtue Center is a place of help and hope for people facing addiction and mental health challenges. We offer a wide variety of counseling, therapy, education, and case management services for those struggling with substance use, problem gambling, and more. We also offer DUI/ADSAC services.
