Started by Mike Lovera in 1946 returning from the war. Began making Italian sausage and selling Italian caciocavallo cheese made by locals, to sell to travelers and the Krebs community. Raise his family in the apartment above the store and the whole family ran the store. Now 2nd and 3rd generation have kept the place as authentic as possible. It's like stepping back in time. One of the most unusual stores in the state. Now cheese is made in the plant on site with over 15 national and international awards. There is a USDA inspected sausage plant and the sausage is sold all over the country. An incredible selection of imported Italian foods and homemade foods available to purchase.Seating in back under covered gazebo and delicious panini can be bought and eaten there. A jewel waiting to be discovered.
