HistoryAs a salon assistant at the original Velvet Monkey (on 23rd St, near OCU) and in college, I decided that I would go to hair school after I graduated college. During trade school, I worked at MAC Cosmetics and sharpened my skills as a makeup artist. Once I graduated, I worked at Velvet Monkey, the original and the plaza district location when it first opened. My old manager from the original location decided to open up Starlite Salon (near paseo in the Uptown District). To continue to grow my business, I moved to a private studio which is where I work currently.SpecialtiesI am a hair color educator for Joico that specializes in corrective color, balayage, ombre, blonding, colormelts, as well as bright and bold hair color (pink, pastels, metallic hair). I am a certified Hotheads and Donna Bella hair extension expert in the tape-in, fusion, and micro bead method. I do special occasion and bridal hair and makeup using MAC, Urban Decay, The Balm, Anastasia Beverly Hills just to name a few of my favorite cosmetics companies in my studio and on location. I offer facial waxing and eyebrow shaping as well as kids and men's grooming and razor cuts.
