Practicing in pulmonary medicine, I feel like I've had the opportunity to improve patients' quality of life. When patients see me, I will provide the most compassionate care for them. I really like to try to put myself in their shoes and understand their unique situation and circumstance. I like to focus on a lot of education on how medicines work in the body and also non-pharmacological aspects as well. I am most motivated when I have a patient come into the office and tell me how much better they're feeling. I really think that's what medicine is all about, to see that smile and improvement on their face. The most gratifying part of medicine to me is getting to know the patients and the families and building that trustful relationship with them. And getting to know them on a personal level as well as a professional level.
