I chose family medicine because I really like getting know people and building long lasting relationships with them, seeing all ages of people for various concerns and seeing multiple generations within families. Sports medicine is considered my niche. I did an extra year of fellowship training in sports medicine along with my residency for family medicine; I think the important thing to know is sports medicine is not just about athletes. It pertains to all people. Everyone has joints, muscles and ligaments and at some point they will likely need to see a doctor for that. I view the patient provider relationship as a partnership. I want to get to know my patients and give them the best advice and care I can.
