Hospice of Green Country, a United Way supported non-profit, multi-cultural, multi-faith agency, is dedicated to providing quality and compassionate end-of-life care, regardless of ability to pay, since 1987. Private insurance and Medicare accepted. Programs available for those without the ability to pay. Pain and symptom management. Assists the whole family with end-of-life issues. Financial coverage is available through the Hospice Medicare benefit and private insurance. No person who qualifies shall be denied services based on age, race, national origin, disease, handicap, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity religion or financial situation. Programs include: Courtesy Care- Accepts patients without the ability to pay providing the same quality care. Live Alone- Allows patients who live alone or with limited access to a caregiver remain in the comfort of their own home. Brazos Abiertos- "Open Arms" is a unique program that serves the Hispanic/Latino community with culturally sensitive hospice care and education. Pet Peace of Mind- Unique to hospice care in that it targets hospice patients who are unable to maintain routine health care and nutrition for their animal companions due to medical expenses or caregiver disability.
