Haskell Map
Haskell is a town in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,765 at the 2000 census. The town was named for Charles N. Haskell, the first state governor of Oklahoma but others speculate the town's name is related to the Haskell Indian Nations University, an Indian tribal school in Lawrence, Kansas. The high school is called Haskell Public Schools and was built on a former Indian tribal school when the area was the Muskogee Nation of Indian Territory in the 1880s.
