The purpose of The Cancer Center is to provide quality care on an outpatient basis to patients with cancer and blood diseases. The goal is to provide an environment conducive to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, including the administration of chemotherapy, and blood diseases, education and support for patients, families, and individuals responsible for the patient. Care of patients with cancer and blood diseases can cross all disciplines from surgery to primary care, and could include infusions of chemotherapy and/or other treatments. It is the goal of this clinic to provide Stillwater Medical Center (SMC) and the community with a standardized method of cancer and blood disease treatment that is evidence based. The focus of the Oncology staff is on providing excellent, compassionate patient care, chemotherapy and other treatment administration, education and support of patients and family and/or significant others.
