The Bartlesville Area History Museum is a 10,000 sq ft facility focused on the preservation, education, and promotion of Bartlesville area history. It is located on the top floor of Bartlesville City Hall. The Bartlesville community has a rich and colorful heritage with roots tracing back to the Delaware, Cherokee and Osage peoples, who lived in the region before the arrival of white settlers. The area's heritage unfolds with stories of oilmen, Indian chiefs, ranchers, bankers, outlaws, schoolteachers, smelter workers, shop clerks and many others who helped to shape a tiny frontier settlement into a modern city. Visitors are offered interactive displays, exceptional photography and intriguing artifacts, for a glimpse of the early years of the small settlement.
