Yorktown Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. It is a part of Columbus City Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Yorktown Middle School s academic curriculum includes language arts, social studies, mathematics and foreign language. It offers a Spanish language course and gifted and talented education programs. The school also conducts classes in technology learning, visual arts, physical education, and vocal and instrumental music. It offers memberships in the National Junior Honor Society, as well as operates a student council.
