The Wyoming Police Department is a law enforcement agency that works to protect citizens, businesses and their property, as well as maintain social order. It provides various training programs in crime scene and traffic accident investigations, neighborhood watch, fingerprint registration, detection and apprehension of offenders, firearms training and self-defense tactics. The department supports a ride along program that provides an opportunity for citizens to see the law enforcement structure and organizes station tours for residents. The department also offers safety tips and issues copies of police reports. The Wyoming Police Department handles animal nuisance complaints and conducts home security surveys. It is comprised of more than 15 full- and part-time sworn officers and support personnel.
