West Central School offers a range of occupational therapy and speech and language pathology services. It administers a variety of swimming programs for children and adults. The school is governed by the Franklin County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (FCBMRDD), which is an agency that provides support services for children and adults with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. FCBMRDD serves more than 10,000 infants, preschoolers, school-aged children, adults and senior citizens in Franklin County in Ohio. It offers vocational training, supported employment and habilitation services for adults. In addition, the agency provides psychological, respite, door-to-door transportation, and occupational, physical and speech therapy services.
