Originally founded in 1890, Sutphen Corporation began as a dream of C.H. Sutphen. As a more than 115-years operation, Sutphen is among the oldest continuously owned and operated fire apparatus manufacturers in the nation. The company s product portfolio encompasses aerials, aerial platforms, pumpers, heavy rescues and water towers for municipal and industrial fire departments throughout the world. Sutphen is comprised of five factories, with the main office being maintained in Amlin, Ohio. Hilliard, Ohio, is home to Sutphen Towers, manufacturing the company s SP 70 Aerial Platform, SA 75, SL 75, and SL 104 Aerial Ladders. In addition, repairs, reverberations and commercial pumpers encompass the product-line. Sutphen Chassis Division, in Springfield, Ohio, assembles the company s custom chassis. The Sutphen Service and Refurbishment Center offers minor repairs to major restoration services. Maintained in Monticello, N.Y., is Sutphen East, manufacturing aluminum and stainless steel pumpers as well as commercial pumpers.
