Based in Toronto, Ohio, TEMS Joint Ambulance District is a part of the Jefferson County 911 response system and offers emergency and nonemergency transport services out of one station. The organization provides services to areas including Toronto, Empire, Stratton, Knox Township and parts of Island Creek Township. In service for more than 7 years, it caters to nearly 15,000 people in the region. Its fleet of vehicles includes three fully equipped ALS (advanced life support) ambulances, an ALS rescue vehicle, a mobile communications command vehicle and an off-road Gator with a trailer. The services provided include off-road rescue, rope rescue and advanced communications.
