Taylor Steel, founded in Canada in 1967, is one of North America s premier steel service centers. The company began operating in the United States in 1983 with the acquisition of a steel service center in Niles, Ohio. Further growth continued in 1995 with the addition of a toll processing facility, Taylor Coil Processing, which is based in Lordstown, Ohio. In 2003, the Lordstown facility was expanded and both U.S. operations were brought together in one location. Taylor Steel has been processing flat-rolled steel since its inception and carries a full range of products in hot-rolled, cold-rolled, coated and painted steel. The Lordstown facility has grown to 256,000 square feet. The four processing lines at the Lordstown location are capable of handling large-volume production. It also offers long-term storage and is a stocking distributor of hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvalume, galvanized and painted steel coils and sheets.
